CacheGuard Patches

To upgrade your installed version you can either reinstall CacheGuard-OS or apply a patch. You can load a patch into your appliance with the system command line or via the Web GUI page "[GENERAL] > [System Operations] > [Load OS Patch]". Think of applying the loaded patch with the apply command line or via the Web GUI page "[GENERAL] > [Whole Configuration] > [Apply New Configuration]".

Please note that there isn't a patch for all versions as some evolutions require a re-installation from scratch. Before reinstalling CacheGuard-OS think of saving your configuration in order to reload it into to your freshly installed version. Also, prior to a reinstallation from scratch, it is important to note that you should unregister your CacheGuard-OS based appliance using the register command line or via the Web GUI page "[GENERAL] > [Registration & Subscription]".

CAUTION: applying a patch always comes with a risk of letting an appliance in an inconsistent state. That's why it is highly recommend to backup your system before applying a patch. You can backup your system with the system command line or via the Web GUI page "[GENERAL] > [System Operations] > [Backup Restore]".

Here you can find available patches.

To apply a patch you can either use the system command line or use the menu option [GENERAL] > [System Operations] > [OS Patching] in the Web GUI. If using line commands think of using the apply command line after having loaded a patch. If using the Web GUI think of applying changes (click on the blinking down arrow button and then submit changes).

You can consult the change logs HERE.
